Leeann Thornhill grew up here in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduation, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she received her undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Environmental Studies, from the College of Charleston. Leeann participated in various volunteer projects involving public service work and environmental awareness throughout her college career. She completed an internship program by working in administration and volunteer coordination with the Charleston Homeless Shelter her senior year. Leeann then went on to attend Pace Law School, home of Robert Kennedy's Environmental Law Clinic, in White Plains, New York where she focused on environmental law. She returned to Louisville to receive her law degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2003.

After law school, Leeann continued to advocate for environmental justice and conservation as a legal researcher under Attorney Tom FitzGerald (recipient of the 14th annual Heinz Award) of Kentucky Resources Counsel. She then spent a short time doing divorce and criminal work in a private practice, but decided to return to assisting clients in need by joining O'Bryan Law Offices in 2007. Since joining the firm, Leeann has built her career around giving people under financial strain a positive approach to regaining control of their financial situation. She is proud to be a member of such a wonderfully caring, compassionate, and organized staff. Leeann enjoys the opportunity to learn under Julie O'Bryan and advocate for bankruptcy clients in the Western District of Kentucky and Southern District of Indiana.

In addition to her work as an attorney, Leeann is a very active Board Member of the Michael Quinlan Brain Tumor Foundation of Louisville. The Foundation strives to empower those in the community affected by brain tumors through educational, emotional, spiritual, and financial services. Leeann's work with the Foundation led her to also become a Board Member of the North American Brain Tumor Coalition. With the Coalition, Leeann travels to Washington D.C. every year to meet with members of the Congress and Senate to advocate for increased research into brain tumor treatments, causes, and rehabilitation.

Leeann is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the United States Southern District of Indiana, the United States Eastern District of Kentucky, and the United States Western District of Kentucky.
