JULIE O'BRYAN: I have 23 years experience in bankruptcy law representing consumer debtors filing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
After graduating from the University of Louisville I moved to California and practiced law out there for two years. And then I came back in 1987, passed the Kentucky Bar and started working for Judge Roberts, the United States bankruptcy judge in the western district of Kentucky. And I worked for him for six years.
In 2003, I became one of five attorneys in the state of Kentucky board certified in consumer bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification.
When I meet with a client for the first time, I take the opportunity to really get to know the client. I want to understand their situation. I want to know how they arrived where they are today.
My goal for my clients when they leave my office after the initial consultation is to feel like they have some hope, that they've got a plan of action. That they know they have our firm onboard to help them through this very difficult process and to gain some financial relief and to get a fresh start.
